Rockworks is a powerful visualisation tool that allows you to better communicate the risks associated with subsurface contamination. The figure above shows how you can use Rockworks to visualise a study area (i.e. petrol filling station, chemical works) and see how a contaminant plume is distributed in relation to the the placement of boreholes and the water table. You can also make use of aerial photos to make the image even more realistic.
